Midwest Aerial Precision
RTK drone mapping & survey

Maps your engineer can trust

Orthomosaics, topographic surfaces, contours and volumetric reports, flown with RTK positioning and delivered in the formats your team already uses.

Precision is a workflow, not a feature

RTK gives every photo a centimeter-level position before it ever reaches the processing software. We pair that with ground control checks on projects that need them, and deliver data with a report that shows how accurate it is, not just that it looks good.

Typical uses: site planning, earthwork and stockpile volumes, progress documentation, pre-construction existing conditions and as-built comparison.

Orthomosaic map

Orthomosaic maps

A single, measurable, high-resolution image of the whole site, georeferenced to your coordinate system.

  • GeoTIFF and web map
  • Custom coordinate systems
  • Repeatable flights

Topographic surveys

Digital surface and terrain models with contours at the interval you need.

  • DSM and DTM
  • Contours as DXF or SHP
  • Existing conditions

Volumetric reports

Stockpile volumes, cut and fill, and progress quantities you can tie to a pay application.

  • Stockpile inventory
  • Cut and fill
  • PDF and CSV
Aerial view of a residential construction site

Construction progress

Scheduled flights that document the site the same way every time, so comparisons mean something.

  • Weekly or monthly
  • Side-by-side comparison
  • Shareable web map

3D models and tours

Textured 3D meshes and interactive tours for planning, presentations and marketing.

  • 3D mesh
  • Web viewer link
  • Fly-around video

Pre-construction and as-built

Capture the site before work starts and again when it ends, so the record is complete.

  • Existing conditions
  • As-built comparison
  • Archive-ready files
Process

From flight to file

  1. Scope

Deliverables, accuracy requirement, coordinate system and schedule.

  2. Fly

RTK flight with ground control where the project calls for it.

  3. Process

Photogrammetry processing with quality checks against control.

  4. Deliver

Files in your formats, with an accuracy report.

FAQ

Mapping questions

Is this a legal survey?

No. Drone mapping produces measurable data for planning, earthwork and documentation. Boundary and legal surveys must be certified by a licensed land surveyor. We regularly work alongside surveyors and engineers.

How accurate is it?

With RTK, horizontal accuracy is typically one to two centimeters and vertical a little more. With ground control we report the actual residuals for your project.

What coordinate system do you deliver in?

Whatever your project uses. Missouri State Plane is common; we can deliver in most systems and datums.

How big a site can you map?

From a single lot to several hundred acres in a day. Larger sites are flown over multiple days.

How fast is turnaround?

Most orthomosaics and surfaces are delivered within two to three business days. Volumetric reports are often same day.

Need the site mapped?

Send the address and what you need to measure. We will scope it and quote it.
